- (1 tsp) cumin
- (1 tsp) oregano
- (1/2 tsp) garlic powder
- (1/4 tsp) cayenne
- (1 1/2 tsp) paprika
- (1/2 tsp) thyme
- (1/2 tsp) cinnamon
- (small pinch) ground clove
- (1 tsp) sugar
- (1/3 finely chopped) cilantro
- juice of 1 lime
- Skirt Steak 1.2 lb Avg
First combine all of your ingredients, except the steak, in a bowl and mix.
Cut the steak into thirds and add the steak to the marinade and make sure every surface is covered.
Let it marinade in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Heat up a pan, preferably cast iron, to medium high heat or until oil starts to smoke. Add the steak and cook until it has a slight char on the edge.
To serve cut the steak against the grain, it will be more tender this way, and serve in tortillas with lightly caramelized onions, bell peppers and some guacamole.
