Now that I have the new website done and the online store running pretty smoothly, it’s time to focus on the new Chuck Wagon Delivery route for our pastured meats.

We anticipate starting monthly Chuck Wagon Deliveries of our grass fed beef, free range pork, pastured eggs, local honey and handmade soaps in the next 2-3 weeks.  The actual start date will depend on when the processor finishes with a batch of beef.  I’m shooting for 10 February, but it may possibly get pushed to the 17th of February.

We are planning Chuck Wagon Delivery to the following areas in Virginia:  Williamsburg, Danville, Roanoke, and of course Southside Virginia in general (this would include Chatham, Farmville and other locations as dictated by our customers!).  Respond to this email to let me know where you want delivery!

And these areas in North Carolina:  Roxboro, Yanceyville, Raleigh / Durham, and Greensboro – let us know if you would like to see delivery in another location!

Delivery to South Boston, Virginia is already happening and is generally Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 1:00 and 1:30 through the end of the school year.  I’m in town most weekdays at that hour and can be somewhat flexible.  As soon as we start adding the farmer’s markets to our schedule, delivery will be available at those locations as well.

Delivery in Halifax, Virginia can be made to Abbott’s Farm Suppliers where we keep a freezer full of meats.

In Greensboro, North Carolina, A View To Your Health has generously offered their parking lot to be a pickup/delivery location.  They are located at 2309 W. Cone Blvd. Suite 201, Greensboro NC 27408, (336) 763-2459

How Chuck Wagon Delivery Works

1.  Add everything you want to the cart in our online store

2.  At checkout choose a shipping option.  Three options are currently available there – more options will show once I’ve got a delivery route and date planned out – so let me know where you want to see delivery ASAP.  You will choose the best delivery option for you.

3.  You can either prepay via credit card or PayPal online, or you can select the option that says “cash payment with pickup at farm” – this allows you to place an order and pay at delivery.

4.  Meet me at the delivery point nearest to you to pickup your order on the scheduled day.

Farmer’s Markets:

When the time comes, consider placing your order online for pickup at the markets!  When you do so, you can either prepay or select an option to pay when you pick up at the market.  Your items will be bagged and ready for pickup upon your arrival.  Plus, you can choose from every option in the online store.  We cannot possibly bring everything to the markets, so your options are much better when pre-order.

We plan to attend the South Boston and Halifax markets in Halifax County VA and the Semora and Yanceyville Markets in Caswell County NC.  If I can find someone to run a booth for me at the Danville market, then we will be in attendance on Saturdays there as well.
